So I called my doctor and went in for some bloodwork.
She called me two days later.
I braced myself for bad news…
Instead she said — and I remember her exact words…
“Everything looks incredible. Your metabolic markers are better than someone decades younger. But I have to ask you something… Have you started taking one of those new weight-loss GLP-1 shots?”
I laughed. I told her absolutely not.
She said…
“That’s what’s confusing me. Your GLP-1 levels are elevated the same way I see in patients who’ve been on those injection pens for months.
Your body must be naturally producing levels of this hormone that most people only get from the $1,000 monthly injections. That’s why the weight is coming off.”
